PANAMA CANAL TO FURTHER REDUCE DRAFT LIMIT FOR NEOPANAMAX VESSELS
The Panama Canal will further reduce the maximum allowable draft for Neopanamax vessels from late August 2026 as water levels in Gatun Lake continue to decline.
GLOTRANS DANANG MEETS WITH DUY TAN UNIVERSITY TO LAUNCH A COOPERATION PROGRAM TO RECRUIT AND TRAIN INTERNS IN 2023
Continuing the cooperation program to recruit and train interns in 2023 with universities in the area of Da Nang city. After Glotrans Da Nang's visit to Duy Tan University on November 20, representatives of the university also had cooperative views and suggestions for the cooperation program between the two sides.
On that basis, on December 15, the second meeting between Glotrans Da Nang and Duy Tan University was held to finalize the plan for the cooperation agreement, and at the same time implement more practical activities at the school, creating conditions for connection between businesses and students.
The successful meeting is a testament to the close relationship between Glotrans Danang and Duy Tan University, and at the same time creates a premise for the growing relationship between businesses and universities in the area of Da Nang. We wish the cooperation program between Glotrans and the Universities a great success.

The Insured’s Duty to Prevent and Mitigate Losses
Company T (Plaintiff – the Insured) entered into an insurance contract with Company B (Defendant – the Insurer). After the insured event occurred, the Insurer alleged that the Insured had violated its obligation to prevent and mitigate losses. The Arbitral Tribunal acknowledged that such an obligation exists but concluded that the Insured did not breach it.
Insurance Contracts Do Not Automatically Terminate Due to Late Premium Payment
Under the insurance contract, the premium was to be paid in three installments, and in all three, the insured party was late in payment. When a dispute arose, the insurer (Defendant) argued that the insurance contract had terminated before the insured event occurred due to the late premium payment and therefore refused to make an insurance payout. However, the Arbitral Tribunal held a contrary view.
