GLOTRANS participated in the Conference to deploy solutions to develop logistics services in Gia Lai

Gia Lai is a province located in the Northern Central Highlands with a total natural land area of more than 15,510 km2, the second largest area in the country. With natural conditions and available geographical location, Gia Lai has formed and developed many concentrated agricultural production farms, applying high technology to serve the processing and export industry, with many high economic valued key agricultural products.

With the orientation of promoting the development of Logistics services in Gia Lai province, on May 17, 2023, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee issued the Plan No. 1130/KH-UBND about developing logistics services in the province during the period 2023 - 2025, orientation to 2030.

At this conference, delegates discuss about current status of logistics development, import-export, and e-commerce in the province as well as discuss about solutions and guidance on regulations, policies and development orientations for infrastructure and logistics activities; orientations and solutions to support and encourage the development of logistics services in Gia Lai province.

Ealier, on October 23, leaders of Agency of Foreign Trade along with departments and  branches, Economic Zone Authority, Logistics Association, and businesses of some provinces and cities had a field trip to survey Le Thanh International Border Gate (Duc Co district) and logistics center in Dak Ta Ley commune (Mang Yang district). The plan aims to build up and develop logistics services, promote production development and goods circulation, develop both traditional trade and international trade and also e-commerce as well as strengthen regional connectivity and international integration.

To implement, the plan focuses on 5 main task groups including: completing the management mechanism and developing logistics activities; developing logistics service infrastructure; improving the investment environment and support business capacity improvement and service quality; training and improving the quality of human resources; propagating and raising awareness about the importance of logistics services for the country's development.

With the goal of providing Logistics services to Enterprises in the Central and Tay Nguyen, Glotrans attended the conference and listened to experts' contributions on solutions to orient and promote logistics development in Gia Lai province from which to have useful market information, serving to explore the potential opportunity of Logistics services in Tay Nguyen in general as well as in Gia Lai in particular.

Insurance Contracts Do Not Automatically Terminate Due to Late Premium Payment

Under the insurance contract, the premium was to be paid in three installments, and in all three, the insured party was late in payment. When a dispute arose, the insurer (Defendant) argued that the insurance contract had terminated before the insured event occurred due to the late premium payment and therefore refused to make an insurance payout. However, the Arbitral Tribunal held a contrary view.
