WELCOME VIETNAM BUSINESS DAY

After more than a month, since the National Day of September 2, 1945, the newly born Democratic Republic of Vietnam has realized the role of industry and trade in the nation's construction, on October 13, 1945 President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. President Ho Chi Minh wrote a letter to the Vietnamese industry and trade. In this letter, Uncle Ho emphasized "The industry and trade must work to build a stable and prosperous economy and finance".

More than 7 decades have passed, but Uncle Ho's affirmations about the role of businesses and entrepreneurs are to enrich the country and call for businesses and entrepreneurs to quickly bring capital to do national good works, the people's interests… still have the same value.

Over the years, the Entrepreneur-Enterprise community has contributed to maintaining a stable economic growth rate. Prioritize well implementation of Party policies and guidelines, state laws, fulfill tax obligations, and ensure benefits for employees. In particular, strive to help businesses overcome the severe consequences caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Today, October 13, 2021, we warmly welcome Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day, this is the day to honor the contribution of entrepreneurs to the development of society, affirming their position. in the overall development of the country.

DISPUTE OVER THE SHIPMENT OF ENZYMES IMPORTED FROM INDIA

The Insured’s Duty to Prevent and Mitigate Losses

Company T (Plaintiff – the Insured) entered into an insurance contract with Company B (Defendant – the Insurer). After the insured event occurred, the Insurer alleged that the Insured had violated its obligation to prevent and mitigate losses. The Arbitral Tribunal acknowledged that such an obligation exists but concluded that the Insured did not breach it.

Insurance Contracts Do Not Automatically Terminate Due to Late Premium Payment

Under the insurance contract, the premium was to be paid in three installments, and in all three, the insured party was late in payment. When a dispute arose, the insurer (Defendant) argued that the insurance contract had terminated before the insured event occurred due to the late premium payment and therefore refused to make an insurance payout. However, the Arbitral Tribunal held a contrary view.
