CMA CGM increases FAK surcharge for routes from Asia to Northern Europe

Shipping line CMA CGM has announced a general rate increase (FAK) for shipments from all Asian ports to all ports in Northern Europe (including the UK and the entire range from Portugal to Finland). Lan/Estonia).

The French shipping company said that this new updated FAK rate will take effect from August 15, 2023 (calculated on the date of loading on board at the port of departure) and will be applied to all types of containers. As follows:

Port of departure: all shipments from Asia (including Japan, Southeast Asia and Bangladesh)

Port of destination: all ports of destination in Northern Europe (including UK and full range from Portugal to Finland/Estonia)

Container type: dry cargo containers, overloaded containers, refrigerated containers and empty containers

Applicable FAK rates: 1,150 USD/TEU and 2,100 USD/FEU
