A FRIENDLY FOOTBALL MATCH BETWEEN TAN CANG OFFSORE SERVICES JSCY AND GLOTRANS HCM

Giving encouragement and support the development of Logistics being one of strategic industries, which is created due to the need for commerce between countries all over the world – human resources in this area are required to update knowledge, learn and not to be afraid to connect with international friends. With that idea, the young generation has been encouraged and supported by the company to develop their own knowledge and practice strong, resilient health.

With the motto: “Work goes hand in hand with health”, besides manufacturing and business operation, Glotrans has paid more focus on labor force’s health issues through physical training, improving sporty spirit through activities such as badminton, football, volleyball and those activities are maintained weekly.

Recently, on 22nd of September, in the spirit of mutual learning and cultural connection, Glotrans Ho Chi Minh and TCO had a football match at the Military Sports Stadium, with the cheering of more than 50 members from 2 teams.

This match created an instructive playground, contributing to the improvement of spiritual life, health and the enhancement of solidarity, togetherness for “players” to well implement their assigned tasks.

Glotrans hopes that in the near future we will have chance to play many friendly football matches with TCO’s football team in particular as well as sport club of other businesses in general to have more exchange and learning with others.

The Insured’s Duty to Prevent and Mitigate Losses

Company T (Plaintiff – the Insured) entered into an insurance contract with Company B (Defendant – the Insurer). After the insured event occurred, the Insurer alleged that the Insured had violated its obligation to prevent and mitigate losses. The Arbitral Tribunal acknowledged that such an obligation exists but concluded that the Insured did not breach it.

Insurance Contracts Do Not Automatically Terminate Due to Late Premium Payment

Under the insurance contract, the premium was to be paid in three installments, and in all three, the insured party was late in payment. When a dispute arose, the insurer (Defendant) argued that the insurance contract had terminated before the insured event occurred due to the late premium payment and therefore refused to make an insurance payout. However, the Arbitral Tribunal held a contrary view.
